TERRY JAMES

My love of radio started when Radio Caroline first started broadcasting and the pirate radio era began. My favourite station at that time was Radio London, Big L, with their slick presentation and great jingles. Radio Luxembourg was always very entertaining too.

I started in Hospital Radio at Southlands, Shoreham by Sea where I met a lot of like minded people and helped out at mobile disco events. I then started DJ'ing at Corals Dog Stadium in Hove at their after racing disco events, Cinderella’s night club on the A23 at Hickstead, where there is now a Friday Ad depot, and  I was also a regular DJ at Brighton's Top Rank Suite which would be packed with 2000 people most nights, particularly in the summer months. I also ran a mobile disco too for many years, which included fund raising for my children’s school charity events.

Looking back now I don’t know how I found the time!

I now look forward to my time with Meridian 107.
