Coming from the bright lights of London I have spent most of my life in and around the capital,  although recently moved into East Grinstead.

I enjoy being involved in the local community and Meridian Radio was the perfect platform to enable this to happen.

Being a late starter in education,  I graduated at the ripe old age of 40, which gave me a renewed and positive outlook in life. I don't think my full time day job suffered too much but grateful for the chance with the Open University.

My passion in music is steadfast and comes from the soul and motown era,  but love any kind of music along as it's not too heavy! So my shows will be based around a mix of motown,  current popular music with some classical thrown into the mix. Also any late shows will include relaxing for those chilled and reflective moments.

I have been associated with Great Ormond St hospital for a number of years, with Radio Lollipop that provides providing care, comfort, play and entertainment for sick children in hospitals. That gave me an opportunity to act like a kid while presenting music and fun on the radio!

My other passion is for sports. I always loved the physical and competitive aspects but was never the one to take things too seriously.  I guess that's why I have always supported Arsenal (yes I admit the trophy cabinet is a little light!)

I can always be found in the gym as I it helps me keep my sanity, together with pilates and singing.

A recent cardiac arrest nearly set me back! However, with the rapid intervention of  the brilliant staff at the King's Centre, provided a second opportunity at life.

I have launched a campaign to increase awareness of CPR and Defibrillators,  and also dedicated to provide at least one 24/7 Defibrillator in or around for the high St for community use. Please support the campaign in anyway you can,  including the obvious funding appeal. Email the studio to contact me and also visit my campaign. Facebook page
