Golden Oldies from the 1960s, 70' and 80's.
I
love listening to music at home and in the car. I've been a presenter
at a nearby hospital radio station for almost 20 years; it's of
real benefit to the patients, who have to stay over and it's nice
to play a record of their choice.
I'm fond of music from the 1960's to the 1980's, one hit wonders
and rarely played songs. You know the words of the chorus but
do you know the rest? I'll be giving you some facts about that
period or about the group - Remember When? My record collection
is a complete mix but sad to say I have circa 500 x 45rpm, 120
x lps, cassettes and CDS. I'm always on the lookout in charity
shops for the record I golden oldie I haven't got.
The
first music track I bought was…
Dance On by the Shadows 1962
Which song sums up your journey so far?
Bachman Turner Overdrive- You ain' t seen nothing yet.
A
day at the races or a night at the opera?
A day at the races
What song have you listened to the most?
Steve Harley Cockney Rebel- Come up and see me, make me smile.
I hate to ask...but whose autograph did you insist on getting?
Cynthia Payne, Madam Cyn. She autographed a paperback I bought
at East Grinstead's May Fare and no, I haven't been to her parties!
