Richard Leader

It all started for me doing radio shows on my best mate's bedroom floor when we were about 8.  We rigged-up a Fidelity record deck for our Shakin' Stevens LPs, a cassette player (on which we recorded jingles and ads) and an ancient reel-to-reel tape recorder on which we recorded the show.  We then managed to broadcast to an audience of one (his mum, in the kitchen).
Ever since then, I've had a secret desire to be a radio broadcaster - thank you MeridianFM for giving me the chance!

At the age of around 14 or 15, a teacher leant me a Warren Zevon LP and I pinched a Crosby Stills & Nash album from another friend's mum.  A love of Americana was born...

I'm a Lingfield local, living here for the last 8 years. My two kids are at Lingfield School and we all love the area.

A bit of a social media addict, you can find the Twitter feed for my show at :-
