26th 2007 - BACK FOR A SECOND AIRING (East
Grinstead Courier)
The
town's airwaves are once again to resonate to the sound of Meridian
FM.
The
community radio station won another limited period licence and
will be on the air until Saturday May 19 on the 87.7FM frequency.
Managing
Director of the non-profit making station, Lee Quinn, said: "We
have a better idea of what we are doing this time. Any project
when you start it from scratch is difficult. The experience of
our first RSL [restricted service licence] has set us up well."
Mr
Quinn said another 14 presenters have joined for the spring run
and will help the station broadcast 24-hours-a-day. The programme
schedule has also been given a shake up and is significantly altered
from the first broadcasting period.
