5th 2006 - MERIDIAN FM ALL SET TO BE TUNED IN (East
Grinstead Courier)
The
town took another step towards having its very own radio station
on Monday evening as Meridian FM officially moved into offices in
East Court.
Lee
Quinn, managing director of the station, which will be on air from
6am to midnight from November 27 to Christmas Eve, said the East
Court location was ideal.
He
said: "It's a dream to have Meridian FM on the Meridian Line."
The
radio station will now take up residence in two rooms in East Court
Mansion, one of which will be used as a studio and one as an office
and production suite.
Mr
Quinn said there had been a great response from the community so
far, but the station still needed people to help with both presenting
and behind the scenes.
He
said: "We've got presenters from outside the town but we want people
from East Grinstead, Forest Row and Lingfield."
Application
forms for those wishing to be involved are available at the library,
post office and Jingles music store.
