Nigel Peacock (Station Manager)
Mid-Morning Show Monday - Friday 9 am - Noon
Born in the 1950s, Nigel decided when he reached the age of 52, that he was finally middle aged. Middle as in "half-way". This means that Nigel will live until he is 102.
His interest in radio goes back to the dark ages and includes both broadcasting on 107 Meridian FM and being a radio ham. On Meridian FM he can be heard for just five miles, but on the ham radio bands, his voice and morse code goes around the globe.
Join Nigel each weekday for the best on music and local community affairs.
The first music track I bought was… Cliff Richard & The Shadows, The Young Ones - it cost me six shillings and eight pence. And I still have it!
A day at the races or a night at the opera? Horse racing is cruel to horses and opera is cruel to the ears of people.
I wish I had invented… The Internet
The invite says fancy dress, who are you going as? As a hippie, complete with flowing robes and a flower in my hair. Which I did, but I own the negatives so you will N-E-V-E-R see the evidence!
Which song do you wish you'd written? Yesterday by Paul McCartney - then I could retire on the royalties. Hang on…I did write it… must contact Heather Mills immediately!
It's my round - what are you having? Something very expensive.
Je ne regrette rien - et vous? Ask me that in Klingon.
My philosophy on life in one word is… Forty-two
