George is TV race ace
Duration: 5'42''
East Grinstead resident George Tilley proved his car was the quickest on the track when he took part in the VIVA UK show 'Slips'.

Named after the American slang term for vehicle registration documents, the basic premise of the half hour programme is simple:
Two drivers each bring their beloved car to 'The Big Boss' (Huey Morgan). They each have their car modified for best performance by 'The Fixers'. They then take their re-engineered cars out to the track and attempt a lap in the shortest time.
The fastest car (and driver) wins their opponents car too so the loser forfeits his pride and joy and has to walk home. It's as painful as it sounds and there's a lot of pre-race fighting talk to raise the stakes.
But George was up for the challenge and at 10pm on Thursday 17th December his experience will be broadcast on MTV.
Meridian FM's Sharon Terry found out more about George, the filming and the pink tartan and lime green Skoda he now owns (but is a little coy about).
The Broadway pub in East Grinstead will host a special viewing night on Thursday 17th of December and all are welcome to join George and his family and friends as they watch the show.
