Goodbye East Court, Hello Jubilee Community Centre
by Sharon Terry

Article published: 9th January 2010

chrismichaels2.jpgAt midnight on Friday 8th January 2010, Meridian FM completed a chapter of it's history by saying goodbye to it's home in East Court, before moving to new premises.

For three years (and an impressive five RSL broadcasts) East Court Mansion in East Grinstead has played host to the studios and office of Meridian FM, as well as to it's many past and present volunteers.

But it's now time to 'move on up' to bigger and better facilities as Meridian FM continues to grow and prepare for it's next exciting phase - to return to the FM waveband FULL-TIME in early March 2010.

The new studios will be based at the Jubilee Community Centre in Charlwoods Road.

From 9 January, the station will remain on the internet playing music 24 hours a day, but there won't be any live shows until the FM transmission begins.

We spoke to Meridian FM's Chairman Rosie Mac about the move and the forthcoming FM launch, and to Meridian FM Presenter
Neil Symon
