Welcome to Meridian FM 87.7
We
have recently completed our 4th broadcast which ran from June
28th until July 26th. Meridian FM is planning for another 28 day
broadcast later this year from November 17th until December 16th.
Our
aim is to bring a truly local
radio service to the community. We focus on local
events, local news, local
sport plus local businesses. Our ambition is to become
approved as a long term, full time community radio station and
be a focal point of communication for everyone in the community.
Run
by a group of over 40 volunteers, on behalf of the local community,
Meridian FM will be out during our 28 days on air. Watch for our
outside broadcast trailer, microphones and radio aerials at numerous
events.
Meridian FM is based in the East Court mansion house where our
office and studios are located. Money raised from advertising
& sponsorship covers our running costs and we do not make a profit.
The
voice of local
people on their radio station, Meridian FM supports
local businesses through low budget advertising and promotional
broadcasting live from business premises.
Meridian FM will hold live competitions to raise money for charities
and community organisations during the broadcast this Winter.
While we are on air, listen to us on 87.7 FM or online via the
internet. Call any presenters in the studio on 01342 325 222.
You can hear us - we would love to hear from you!
