The
Big Drive Home
Weekdays 5:00 - 7:00 pm
Hello
and thank you for checking out my profile. I've been involved
with Meridian Fm since day one, last year presenting the breakfast
show from 6 - 9 am but on this summer broadcast, I will be presenting
"The BIG Drive Home" Monday - Thursdays from 5pm - 7pm and Fridays
from 5pm - 8pm. What
bliss … no more getting up at 4.30am and I can guarantee the best
music and entertainment to get you through the afternoon plus
the latest travel news.
I
love all styles and types of music from the old to the latest
hits of today so there will be something for every one.
I
started off broadcasting on Hospital Radio Tunbridge Wells back
in 1992 and since then have worked on many local radio stations
those being KFM which broadcasted to West Kent and East Sussex,
Mercury Fm, Southern Fm, the list goes on.
I
look forward to your company in the afternoon … at the end of
the day it's you listeners who make the programme so get interactive
and involved as its "Your Radio … You're Station on 87.7 Meridian
Fm"
Best wishes and enjoy the broadcast.

Life
before Meridian fm - what were you up to?
Working in a call centre … would say never again ….. but still
doing it!!!
The
first music track I bought was…
Gosh .. can't remember… showing my age.. Umm first one I can remember…
do I have to admit this !! Keith Harris & Orville .. I wish I
could fly .. I didn't buy it.. was a present … honest!!!!
I
don't feel like dancing - what will you play to get me on the
dance floor?
Again a difficult one… Umm … Kylie and Spinning Around
Which
song sums up your journey so far?
Chris Rea and The Road to Hell … Only kiddin!! … probably Lonestar
and Amazed… was our first dance song at my wedding
A
day at the races or a night at the opera?
Don't
do Opera … have to be the races… could do with the dosh.
I
wish I had invented…
A machine that does the ironing for you rather than the wife and
getting grief for not doing it!
The
invite says fancy dress, who are you going as?
Gotta be Spiderman
Ah,
there's the receipt - what are you returning and what do you want
instead?
Lol.. Probably an item of clothing.. if you see me … you'll know
what I mean. Can never get clothes to fit as I'm so tiny … not
in height but in size … boo hoo!!
What
song have you listened to the most?
Various to be honest… mostly listen to the radio rather than specific
songs/artists
I
hate to ask...but whose autograph did you insist on getting?
Long time ago… but got a picture of Louise Redknapp signed hanging
on the wall in the kitchen… she's a babe !!
Which
song do you wish you'd written?
Ray Parker Jr - Ghostbusters … always wanted to be one when I
was younger .. okay … still would jump at the chance.
It's
my round - what are you having?
A beer
Je
ne regrette rien - et vous?
Ummm What ?!? Don't do languages!!
We've
been a great audience - how will you send us home smiling?
Keeping you entertained with the best music and keeping the show
local and entertaining as its your radio station and YOU the listener
that makes the programme.
My
philosophy on life in one word is…
Happiness
I
have taken part in an extreme sport… (If not, which would you
consider doing?)
Street
Hockey
If I could invite anyone, living or dead, to dinner for some great
conversation I would ask…
It would have to be my mum as she passed away in 1995 and my life
has moved on so much since then. I always said that I would get
into radio. She is what inspired me but she never had the chance
to hear or experience me on air.
I
think the most overrated/underrated thing or person is…
Overrated would have to be Big Brother or similar programmes.
Underrated not too sure.. call me on the programme and I'll let
you know!!
