The Meridian FM Big Jubilee Weekend!
107 Meridian FM joins with the rest of the nation in celebration with HM Queen Elizabeth II on her Diamond Jubilee.
Sunday 3rd June
12.30pm Town Jubilee Parade – Railway Approach to Chequer Mead car park/East Court.
Presenters will be at the parade on the Meridian FM float, and also reporting the progress of the parade live on-air.
2pm - 7pm (approx) East Court Fun Day and Big Lunch
An afternoon of fairground fun, stalls, food, and the legendary 107 Meridian FM Live Music show, featuring live local bands on the bandstand at East Court all afternoon, hosted by presenter Terry Sumner and broadcast live on-air.
8pm - 10pm (doors 7.30pm) The 107 Teens Music Festival – Meridian Hall, East Court
Specially for teens this is a ticketed concert featuring your favourite local bands, hosted by presnter Terry Sumner. Tickets available at Chequer Mead for £4 in advance, or £5 on the door. See our Facebook event page for band listings.
Monday 4th June
2pm - 9pm (approx) East Court Fun Day
Another afternoon at the funfair with stalls and food plus the Big Meridian FM Free Disco Afternoon - all your favourite Meridian DJs will be there throughout the afternoon, playing your best summer tunes, and generally having fun. Come up and say hello! Live on-air broadcast.
9.45pm (approx) Torchlight Procession and National Beacon lighting at East Court
Starts at the Escots Drive entrance of the estate, walking down to the Meridian Stone and the Beacon. Meridian FM will carry live commentary on-air!
10pm (approx) Grand Jubilee Fireworks at East Court
Promising to be the biggest (and loudest) display yet seen in East Grinstead, a great celebration of Her Majesty's Jubilee! 107 Meridian FM will provide the soundtrack and carry it live on-air.
