After pestering my mum, in 1963, to buy 'I Wanna Be Your Man' by The Rolling Stones, when I was four years old, I cannot remember a time when music didn't play a huge part in my life.
I started singing in bands when I was 16 then a little thing called 'marriage and children' came along so the singing took a backward step. I'm now pleased to say that the children can now tie their own laces so I'm not needed so much any more therefore the singing is back, along with the privilege of presenting a great show with Amy Cook on Meridian 107FM.
The joy of listening to new music from up and coming bands still gives me a real buzz, coupled with the excitement of the non musical guests who are queuing up to appear on our show.
I feel blessed to be a part of the Meridian team.
